Why do people consolate sentimental women but not men?
Write an analysis paragraph to how this connects to the real world
Answer:
People tend to console sentimental women but not men because of the traditional gender roles that have been ingrained in our society. Women are often seen as being more emotional and in need of support, while men are seen as being strong and stoic. This can lead to men feeling like they cannot express their emotions without being seen as weak or less masculine.
This gender stereotype can have a negative impact on men's mental health. Men who are unable to express their emotions are more likely to experience depression, anxiety, and other mental health problems. They are also more likely to engage in risky behaviors, such as substance abuse and violence.
It is important to challenge these gender stereotypes and to create a society where men feel comfortable expressing their emotions without fear of judgment. This can help to improve men's mental health and well-being.
Here are some examples of how this gender stereotype can be challenged in the real world:
Media:By challenging gender stereotypes, we can create a society where men feel comfortable expressing their emotions and seeking help for mental health problems. This can lead to improved mental health and well-being for all men.
which rhetorical device does the author employ to create a group mentality and unify the nation? extended metaphors historical allusions personal pronouns descriptive adjectives
Rhetorical device Personal pronouns employ to group mentality and unify the nation. So the option c is correct.
One nation's intense connection to another leads to a wide range of evils. Sympathy for the preferred nation, which makes it easier to create the appearance of a hypothetical common interest when there isn't one, and which infuses one with the animosities of the other, betrays the former into joining the disputes and wars of the latter without sufficient provocation or justification.
It also results in giving the preferred nation privileges that are withheld from others, which is likely to harm the nation giving the concessions on two fronts: by giving up things that should have been kept and by inciting resentment, malice, and a desire to retaliate in those who receive the same privileges.

Write the Literature review of John Kotter's book " Our Iceberg
is Melting - Changing and Succeeding under any conditions".
John Kotter's book "Our Iceberg is Melting: Changing and Succeeding Under Any Conditions" is a well-known business fable that teaches people how to deal with change in a positive manner. In this story, Kotter uses an iceberg as a metaphor for change. He states that just like an iceberg, change is not visible on the surface; instead, it's hidden beneath the surface. It's the work that's being done below the surface that will ultimately lead to success.
Kotter's book has been well received by critics and readers alike. The book's style is easy to read, making it an excellent resource for individuals who are new to the topic of change management. Kotter effectively uses storytelling to illustrate his points, which makes the book both engaging and informative.
The book has been praised for its insights into change management. Kotter's eight-step process for leading change is particularly notable. This process includes creating a sense of urgency, forming a powerful coalition, creating a vision for change, communicating the vision, empowering others to act on the vision, creating short-term wins, consolidating gains and producing more change, and anchoring new approaches in the organization's culture.
One of the most significant takeaways from Kotter's book is that change is a process, not an event. To succeed in change management, you must be patient, resilient, and committed to the process. Kotter argues that organizations that fail to adapt to change will ultimately be left behind. Therefore, it's critical to stay ahead of the curve by embracing change and using it to your advantage.
Overall, "Our Iceberg is Melting: Changing and Succeeding Under Any Conditions" is an excellent book for anyone interested in change management. Kotter's eight-step process for leading change is a valuable resource for leaders and managers who want to successfully navigate through times of change. The book is highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about change management and how to succeed under any conditions.

A. Helmer knows that there is a piece of mail from Krogstad in the box.
B. Helmer thinks that Nora is nervous and dismisses her pleas about the mail.

The evidence from the text that supports the prediction that Helmer will learn the contents of the letter includes: A. Helmer knows that there is a piece of mail from Krogstad in the box.
This evidence suggests that Helmer is aware of the presence of a letter from Krogstad in the mailbox. This knowledge implies that at some point, Helmer is likely to come across the letter and potentially read its contents.
B. Helmer thinks that Nora is nervous and dismisses her pleas about the mail.

write an essay on merits and demerits of going abroad for higher study essay
Answer:
Almost every student around the world wishes to pursue his or her education. However, every issue
has its pros and cons. In order to making a better decision, one has to explore different aspects of a
plan.
Advantages of Studying Abroad
Firstly, studying overseas can help to improve you a lot apart from learning in your place. Doing this
kind of learning can hone your language skills because of the new environment you will have yourself
adapted to with new classes, home, and new friends. Nothing is better than learning languages with
native speakers. For example, if you are in countries like America or England, learning English won’t
be such a problem. You can improve your English days by days with ease because you need to
speak, to talk to foreign people there and that will boost your confidence a lot. Furthermore, studying
overseas is necessary to improve and develop yourself due to the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of
the place where you study. Secondly, students who are learning abroad can potentially see the world,
they can have a great chance to attain knowledge of a new culture. Obviously, when a student
studies abroad for the first time, he will be able to see a totally new culture. Everything is different
from his country but learning a new culture is not a difficult task. New culture, new lifestyle can be
learned easily by observing, living with native people or taking part in some festivals or some special
events. This will help students who are learning abroad to have a better understanding of the new
country and also offer them an overall view of the multicultural world they are living in. Not only
attaining new culture give a better understanding of the new place but it also helps students to form
new great habits.
Disadvantages of Studying Abroad
Studying abroad is a good choice but many schools’ tuition is a pretty penny. According to
“GoAbroad”, the average cost of studying abroad in foreign countries hovers around 18000 dollars
per semester and 36000 per full academic year. Even though studying abroad is a great opportunity
but it does not guarantee that a person who studies abroad will have a successful future. Last but not
least, learning in another country might be risky and quite challenging. Your learning progress can be
affected by many problems like weather, illness. A common problem that a lot of studying abroad
students may have is with the weather. Weather is something that no one can predict. Freaky storms
are quite scary when you don’t have your own house to protect you. Being in a foreign country with a
hurricane coming can scare you and all you have for comfort is the other students and your
chaperones. You will need to be prepared for things like this since unsightly weather is a risk that you
will have to take. Another illustration of the risky problems of studying abroad is illness and medicine.
When bad things happen, the place where you’re studying might not have the medical care system
you need. Nowadays, in the context of globalization, exchanges between countries are more regular,
information around the world can be accessed more easily but studying abroad still remain the most
effective way. People can directly see what the country has done and can approach to a new way of
thinking. They can live in the real environment, sense directly how things are operated.
All in all, going abroad in order to continue the education has some advantages and disadvantages.
After a thorough consideration of merits and demerits of it, I decide to put all my vigor and pursue my
education abroad. Each of us should accept that studying abroad has good sides as well as bad one.
For sure many students would get over all those disadvantages but how about others who might not
be able to handle all of them. It might not be good choice to study abroad for all students. They have
to figure it out before they leave their country. Otherwise, those issues would affect all your life with
failure. Studying abroad is a good opportunity to chose, but the advantages and disadvantages must
be weighed very carefully before a student leaves the country.

Answer:Answer and Explanation:
1. The character who faces the conflict is Mike, who is the protagonist of the story and the narrator of the story, that is, we know all of this according to Mike's eyes and his view of what is happening.
2. Mike faces an internal conflict that is related to the very thoughts he has and the feelings he feels about the conflict he is experiencing.
3. Mike went to visit his grandmother at the nursing home and she mistook him for her ex-husband and started asking him for forgiveness for the things she did in the past. Mike pretends that he is actually the grandmother's husband, but faces a big problem, as he feels extremely guilty for cheating on her like that, but he doesn't have the courage to show her that he is not who she thinks.
4. The character solves this problem by going home and removing what caused him to be confused with his grandmother's old husband, the mustache. With that, the character shows that he is leaving this story behind and will not think about it anymore.

Personification
Assuming this question refers to "withered leaves," we can say it is an example of the technique called metaphor, which is a type of comparison, option B.
What is a metaphor?A metaphor is a comparison between things that are originally very different. The purpose is to emphasize an idea by connecting the two things, showing some similarity between them. A metaphor is an example of a figurative language device.
In the speech, President Roosevelt uses the metaphor "withered leaves" when talking about the industrial enterprise. His purpose is most likely to convey an idea of failure, of something that was once alive and thriving, and that now is dead.
Note that "withered leaves" cannot be considered a simile because the words "like" or "as" are not present in the comparison. Option B is thus the right answer.
